Glaring Errors

February 25th, 2007

Ok, I’m a nitpicker, and I admit that. Seriously, though, is it too much to expect the news to get peoples’ names right? Especially when they are the focus of a story? Especially when it’s in the title? Especially when they LINK to the person’s website? Geeze, guys. I am sad for the state of the news media. Where’s the professionalism?

Oh yeah – and any thoughts on the story are welcome too. It’s an interesting case.

  • Well, seems like tons of media coverage (online at least) and some lawyer swapouts have gotten the problem back into the light. At least for a while there. We can only watch and wait. Grrr.

  • art teacher. certified. unexperienced.
  • Seriously. I couldn't agree more. I am a bit freaked out by the problems that technological illiteracy can cause. The defense fund is accessible via her blogspot site (which her husband is currently maintaining). I didn't know you were a student teacher, though. Are you going to teach as a career? That's kind of cool. Learn new things everyday. Ha ha.
  • boing boing talked about a defense fund for her. I hope she gets off. Lord knows when I was a student teacher, I had my fair share of problems when I took the kids to the computer lab.
