Although I think it's funny to make typos when making fun of some poor girl's complete and utter failure to sound intelligent. :-P Don't sweat it, I know you're cool. And just so you know, if you <em>were</em> from SC, you'd be happy about that too. It isn't NYC, but it has its perks. It was pretty horrendous, huh. I can't figure out where her weird accent comes from either. It's kind of faux-valley, isn't it? The "uh" on the end of her words? Like a strange, vapid, female xerox of the bad Mario accent? It's-a like-a me-a, Miss-a like-a Teen-a South-a Carolina-a, such-a as-a and-a so-a. Yikes. It's like the sign that I had in my old bedroom - written in stamped gold foil in <em>Olde English</em> font, the wry admonition: "Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth into gear." Sigh. At least some of us know that there are some really amazing girls in South Carolina. I remember them. I grew up with a weird complex thanks to the girls I had crushes on who beat me into the cement academically. But, it sort of figures that their interests wouldn't lie with beauty pageants, eh? In place of such questions, it is my personal belief that they should have simply asked the dingbat to point to the US on one of these maps that a fifth of us Americans aren't privy to.
