Nick - That's so true! I had trouble finding the account because I'd signed up using a spam-target email address that I had years ago. I changed it over to my current address, but I'm awaiting the deluge. Ha ha. (I did turn off the community messages, which if you want to continue to receive, you can set to hit your inbox daily or every other week.) :-D

The problem with Mixi is they keep sending you email notifications every time one of your friends writes something. I wouldn't mind if they told you what had been written, but nooooo, you have to log into the site to see what's happened... usually a cat photo or something.. Maybe I could turn off those emails, but then I'd have no reason to ever go back! ;)

Thanks, Alex. That's quite a compliment, and I'll gladly accept it. I am conservative, and (but?) I do think we make good neighbors. Ha ha. That's the best non sequitur I've read in a while. Feel free to continue to interject them from time to time. :-)

(This has nothing to do with this post. Sorry! I'm prone to doing this at times) I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate your moderate views on life, Deas.

My impression is that you are slightly right-of-center, whereas I consider myself slightly left-of-center. But, in that regard, I consider us good neighbors.

I really recommend Lang-8 too; it is community/friend minded, while language learning focused. I love it! http://lang-8.com/?l=en
