I'm in the unusual situation of living in Japan, but earning in US dollars. So taking your example of last June's 123yen/dollar, $2,500 was 307,500 yen. Pretty nice, right? Well now, at 102 yen/dollar, that $2,500 is worth only 255,000 yen!
