Nice work Deas. You do seem like a proper teacher there. But I also agree that the real world and real jobs are entirely overrated. Here’s a quote from a novel I came across recently that I’ve been bandying about to justify my total lack of a career plan:

“I know I ought to be getting money out of people, or devoting myself to things I don’t care a straw about, but somehow I’ve not been able to begin.”

Nick – thanks to the wonder of the internet, keeping it for posterity should be a snap! (Or a file download.) I just have to make sure I keep a copy in a dominant format.

Jordan – thanks for the kind words! Feel free to join my class. Or do what I do in my spare time and watch Professor Walter Lewin’s physics courses from MIT’s open courseware program. (No…really.) They’re available on iTunes.

Emily – “real live jobs” and being a “real live grown-up” are soooo overrated. I vote we catch lizards, drink honeysuckle tea, ride the fig tree / imaginary dinosaurs, get Kevin Costner action figures stuck on the roof when his plastic bag parachute works too well, etc. in perpetuity.
